Assignment 1

So I have made a mock-up of what I hope to achieve with the raytracer assignment. Here we have two spheres and a plane rendered using MentalRay in Maya 2008.



The two spheres are radius of 3.5 cm
The transparent sphere is at coordinates 11, 6.5, 2 and the reflective sphere is at coordinates 5.5, 3.5, -4
The camera is at coordinates 11.5, 5.5, 23.5
The plane is sized 6 x 33 and translated to 9, 14, facing 0,0,0 (no specific lookat vector, but facing negative Z along the world's axis, up is the world's Y axis and not rotated in either direction)

Here is a demonstration of the topology of the scene in the form of wireframe on shaded.
